General questions
How do I get a quote?
Fill in the quote form with the service you need, your postcode and a few details about the property. Photos help a lot. We'll reply with a written quote that lists what's included.
Why do you ask so many questions before quoting?
Because two properties described the same way can take very different amounts of time. Knowing the rooms, the condition and any extras up front means the price we give you is the price you pay, not a figure that changes on the day.
Do you bring your own equipment and products?
Yes. We bring the equipment and cleaning products needed for the job. We just need access, electricity and running water.
Can I book more than one service at once?
Yes, and it's often easier. End of tenancy cleans are commonly booked with carpet and oven cleaning, and sofas, rugs and mattresses are easy to add to a carpet clean.
When do I pay?
Payment is normally due when the job is finished. For larger jobs we may ask for a deposit to hold the date, and it comes off the final price.
Can you guarantee every stain will come out?
No, and nobody honest will. Whether a mark comes out depends on what it is, how long it has been there, the material and whether anything has already been used on it. We'll tell you what we expect before we start.
What if I'm not happy with something?
We ask you, or whoever is letting us in, to check the work with us before we leave. If something on the agreed list has been missed, we'll put it right there and then.
What if my town isn't listed?
Ask anyway. We cover eight cities and the towns around them, and whether we can reach you can depend on the date and the size of the job.
End of tenancy cleaning
How much does an end of tenancy clean cost?
Prices start at £130 for a studio flat and follow a package table by bedrooms and bathrooms, for example £195 for a 2 bed, 1 bath property. Carpets, the oven and other extras are added separately.
Will this get my deposit back?
We clean to the standard an inventory check looks for, which gives you the best chance. We can't guarantee a landlord's or agent's decision, because deductions can also be for damage, wear or missing items.
Do I need to be there?
Not necessarily. Tell us how we'll get access when you book. If you can't be there at the end, arrange for someone to check the work with us before we leave.
Is the oven included?
The outside of the appliances is included. Cleaning inside the oven is an add-on, from £30 for a single oven, and is worth adding because it's one of the first things checked.
Deep cleaning service
What's the difference between a deep clean and a regular clean?
A regular clean keeps on top of everyday dirt. A deep clean deals with the build-up underneath it: grease on tiles and cupboard doors, limescale, and dust on skirting, frames and fittings.
How much does a deep clean cost?
Deep cleans use the same package table as end of tenancy cleans, starting at £130 for a studio flat. The final figure depends on rooms, bathrooms and how much build-up there is.
Do I need to empty the house?
No. Clear worktops and floors as much as you can, and empty any cupboards you want cleaned inside.
Can you clean inside the oven and fridge too?
Yes. They're add-ons: a single oven starts at £30 and a fridge at £20.
After builders clean
When should I book an after builders clean?
Once all the building and decorating work has finished. If trades are still working, the dust will settle again after we've gone.
How is it priced?
Each after builders clean is quoted on its own, based on what work was done, how many rooms were affected and how much dust and residue there is.
Can you remove paint splashes and plaster?
We can lift light paint specks from glass and some hard surfaces where it's safe. Heavy plaster, cement, grout haze and large paint splashes need the trade who left them or a specialist.
Carpet cleaning
How much does carpet cleaning cost?
Carpet cleaning starts at £20 a room. Stairs, landings and extra stain treatment are priced separately, and you'll see everything on your quote before we come.
How long does the carpet take to dry?
It depends on the carpet, the weather and how well the room is ventilated. Opening windows and keeping the heating on helps. We'll give you drying advice before we leave.
Will all the stains come out?
Many everyday stains will. Bleach marks, dye loss, burns and very old stains often won't, and shop-bought stain removers can set a stain. We'll tell you what to expect before we start.
Do I need to move the furniture?
Please move small items. If heavy furniture needs moving, tell us when you book so we can plan for it.
Oven and appliances cleaning
How much does oven cleaning cost?
A single oven starts at £30, a double oven at £35, a range cooker at £40 and an AGA at £55. Fridges, freezers, dishwashers and washing machines start at £20 each.
Do I need to do anything before you arrive?
Make sure the oven is off and cool, and take out anything stored inside. Fridges and freezers need to be emptied, and freezers defrosted.
Can you clean between the door glass?
Where the door is designed to come apart, yes. We don't force apart glass that isn't meant to be separated.
Upholstery and sofa cleaning
How much does sofa cleaning cost?
Sofa cleaning starts at £25 for a single seat: £35 for a 2 seater, £40 for a 3 seater and £75 for an L-shaped sofa.
Can every sofa be cleaned?
Most fabric sofas can. Some delicate fabrics, such as silk and some velvets, aren't suitable for cleaning on site. We check the care label and fabric before we start.
Do you clean leather?
Leather needs a different approach from fabric, so please ask before booking and tell us about the sofa.
Mattress cleaning
How much does mattress cleaning cost?
Mattress cleaning starts at £20 a mattress, depending on size and condition.
When can I use the bed again?
Once the mattress is dry. We'll give you advice on the day; leaving the bed unmade and the room ventilated helps.
Will it remove old stains?
Older stains may lighten rather than disappear. Fresher marks usually respond better.
Rug cleaning
How much does rug cleaning cost?
Rug cleaning starts at £20 a rug, depending on size, material and condition.
Can you clean my rug at home?
Most rugs can be cleaned at home. Silk, antique and some hand-dyed rugs may need specialist off-site cleaning, and we'll tell you if yours does.
Can I book it with my carpets?
Yes. Rugs are often cleaned in the same visit as carpets or a sofa.
Hard floor cleaning
What floors do you clean?
Ceramic and porcelain tile, vinyl, laminate and other common hard floors. Natural stone can need specialist products, so please tell us if your floor is stone.
How is it priced?
Hard floor cleaning is quoted per job, based on the floor type, the area and the condition of the floor and grout.
Will the grout go back to its original colour?
Dirty grout usually improves a lot. Stained, cracked or worn grout may not return to new.
